One of my favorite cream soups. Very hearty and comforting. The recipe calls for only wild rice but I love the creamy texture that white rice adds to the soup so I use a mix of both.

Slow Cooker Beef Barley Soup
A part of the Apple Northbrook Slow Cooker Challenge, this super hearty soup/stew is perfect for chilly weather. After hours of cooking the mean comes out nice, juicy and tender. A great meal to start in the morning and come home to after work.
Dawson’s White Chicken Chili
Another contender of the Apple Northbrook Chili Cook Off. One of my all time favorite chili. Goes well with homemade corn bread. Try the Buttery Corn Bread recipe.
Slow Cooker Beanless Beef Chili
I’m not a big fan of beans in my chili, I want meat meat meat!! This delicious chili was my entry in the Apple Northbrook Chili Cook-Off, and a warm welcome on a cold Chicago winter day. Great for Football Sunday! Add some spicy sour cream for a real kick!
